Riggins Idaho

Location 10 Miles Southwest of Riggins Idaho nestled in the Salmon River Mountains.
Size 900 acre hunting preserve with heavy pine cover, bushy draws and small brooks opening up on the south slopes enabling you to spot game at longer distances. There are many trails throughout the hunting area, which we access by vehicle and spot the elk from. Spotting the elk from the pickup makes it possible to complete many short stalks each day. This hunting parks fantastic cover and terrain enables successful stalking and close range shots of 100 to 150 yards on the elk. This in an excellent archery hunt during the rut in September.
Accommodations & Lodging Best Western Motel in Riggins, Idaho. Home cooked meals are served at the ranch headquarters and occasionally local restaurants.
What's special This is a challenging hunt but not difficult stalking allowing us to guarantee success.  October elk hunters who would like to hunt mule deer on their own may hunt our surrounding property for a $1500 trespass fee. Nice mule deer 4x4 24 inches wide are plentiful. Idaho deer tags are available over the counter October 5th through October 31st. Excellent Trout and Steelhead fishing in nearby streams and rivers.

Professional trophy and carcass care is provided on the ranch. Your elk will be skinned, caped, cleaned, cooled and quartered ready for you to take home at no extra charge. You may elect to have your meat cut, wrapped and frozen at a local meat processor ready for you on your departure.
