We are located in western North Dakota. About 50 miles from the Montana border and about in the middle of the state from top to bottom. We are two and half hours from the Bismarck and Minot airports. |
About Killdeer Mountain Outfitters |
Killdeer Mountain Outfitters was established in 1998 providing a first class trophy hunting preserve, specializing in Rocky Mountain bull elk. Our preserve was built around natural elk habitat. There is also a native elk herd that runs in the wild, around and through the Killdeer Mountains. This is a place where you can relax, enjoy a quiet peaceful mountain setting and harvest a trophy elk that would take years, and many dollars, to find in the wild. |
Accommodations & Lodging |
We have a small log cabin available, complete with shower, bath and kitchen facilities. It has room for five hunters to sleep comfortably. Its' location is a little remote but that is part of the fun. Nobody will bother you when you are there, and the scenery is fantastic. It is also in a location where there is excellent deer hunting. "Archery only” Bow tags are available over the counter. The price is $100.00 per night for a party of four. There is also a good motel in Killdeer with comfortable, clean rooms with reasonable prices. There are also good restaurants and grocery stores in town. |

2003 Hunt Prices
$125.00 day fee includes skinning, caping and guide. We take professional care of your animal once it is on the ground. Your animal will be skinned, quartered and taken to the butcher house for processing. It usually costs about $200.00 to get each elk cut, wrapped and frozen. Once it is frozen it can make the journey to your home in good shape. We also will professionally cape your trophy for you. Out of state whitetail archery tags available over the counter. We have a limited number of whitetail gun tags available first come, first served. |
